Motivation in Technology-Based Learning

The internal and external forces that cause students to be enthusiastic and persistent in their learning are the most important predictors of student success in distance learning where the contexts, resources, tools and supports rely on technology. Motivation is important for students as it is one of the most significant components of learning. Yet it is challenging in technology-based learning because communication, isolation, and supervision are limited in comparison to traditional classrooms.
